The Patch..

A four hour visit to the local patch this morning revealed a few nice sightings, the best being my first patch Yellow-legged Gull,an adult,in with a large flock of mixed gulls, which also held at least 150 L.bl.backs.The gulls where not easy to get to grips with flushing at long range and coupled with heat haze where near impossible to look through, who knows what could have been in amongst them. While watching the gulls at the first attempt a very unsociable adult Peregrine decided to scare the living daylights out of the flock, with gulls scattering in all directions, but it made for an impressive spectacle all the same.Other highlights where a flock of 7 Green Sands,3 Marsh Harrier,2 Hobby,14 Common Buzzard,33 Curlew and 2 juv. Corn Bunting.A decent few hours in the warm sun.
