Owl extravaganza...

A few hours around my local patch at Worlaby this afternoon after work, saw the recent Owl sightings continuing, with today's count including 12 Short-eared and 6 Barn Owl.Both species showed brilliantly again, shame the light wasn't great for the assembled crowd with their cameras!.Also seen today, were the continued presence of at least 2 juv. Hen Harrier watched hunting the pasture field and a single 2nd calendar year male Marsh Harrier was watched making it's way to the humber to roost.Other sightings of note fell to a single female Stonechat along the roadside near the first Poplar wood and a good sized flock of 300+ Fieldfare, which showed nicely in the poplar wood and on an adjacent field. An enjoyable few hours again on the 'Patch'.
